Nottingham Rowing Club off to Moscow

Student members of Nottingham Rowing Club, rowing in their University kit, are off to Moscow to compete in the European University Rowing Championships which begin on August 31st. Last year the event was held in Amsterdam and the British team was victorious.

All the athletes are scullers and are part of Nottingham Rowing Club's high performance group coached by Dez Atkins .Nottingham University, coached by Ray Sims, have entered a lightweight eight and four.

Richard Whatton and Stuart Sykes will compete in the lightweight double sculls and Ed Mace in lightweight singles and row in Nottingham University colours.

Emma Corless and Becca Gill will row in Women's Double sculls and Nikki Spencer will be in the lightweight singles. They will row in Nottingham Trent colours.
