On the day after the highly successful Nottingham City Regatta, the Masters and Club Regatta was rowed in excellent conditions and drew a record entry. The event is designed to allow veteran crews to prepare for the Masters' Championships in mid-June, and at the same time club crews can experience six lane racing over 1000 m in a less pressured environment.

Nottingham Rowing Club added to their tally of 11 victories on the previous day. Sophie Thean won Women's Intermediate 2 Sculls; Women's Intermediate 2 Eights was won by Laurie Hartill, Lou Townrow, Cassie White, Tracey Lamb, Holly Brearley, Becca Gill, Suze Wynne and Heather Wesson with cox Josh Kaye, who beat Lea Rowing Club in the final. Women's Novice Fours winners were Rebekeh Royles, Anna Relton, Hannah Moyden and Sophie Thean,  the cox was once more Josh Kaye and they beat a fellow club crew in the final. This made it three wins from three for coach Helen Bloor.

There were good wins too by Emre Gurpinar and Nick Page in the Novice Double Sculls, and by Steve Hill, Andy Brown, Iain Hill, Canice O'Reilly and cox Fergus Robertson in the Masters D Coxed Four, who came out on top in a field of six.

Nottingham Rowing Club finished the excellent rowing weekend with sixteen wins. The current total for the 2016 season is forty-one.
