Two Nottingham Rowing Club athletes have been selected to represent Great Britain in the 2nd European Universities Games (EUG); they join a strong team drawn from nine universities across the UK that is making the trip to Rotterdam later this month.

Katie Bartlett, who is sponsored by local company 'Insideland', and Louise Hart have been selected following their results at the BUCS regatta in May, where they won double sculls while representing Loughborough Students' Rowing Club. The nine chosen universities will together form a composite team to row for Great Britain;  at the inaugural EUG in 2013 the team returned with four gold, three silver and five bronze medals, finishing second in the overall medal table.

This is the first time that rowing has been an integral part of the European University Games. The rowing tournament will be held from July 30th to August 1st on the new international-standard course just outside Rotterdam.
