A larger than usual junior squad of 18 athletes traveled down to Henley-on-Thames on Saturday 3rd November to compete in the Henley Sculls head race. NRC fielded 23 entries, with some of the new juniors racing for the first time in a head race. The course was 3km upstream on the Thames including the Henley Royal Regatta course. Two wins were recorded in double sculls, where Olivia Kay and Anna Thornton won the WJ16.2x event and Harvey Kay & Peter Savage won the J15.2x. Anna Thornton also won the WJ16 single sculls event in the second fastest time of the day. There were some other good second and third placings, including for Rowan Law who finished just 2s behind the winner in J16 singles and for Rowan and Connor Gamble who were 2nd in the J18 doubles.
