Nottingham Rowing Club Masters made what Steve Cuthbert called ‘a successful sortie to Worcester’ and, rowing on the River Severn, returned with three trophies.

In the Masters D four (for 50 year olds) Matt Pritchett, Mike Walker, Tony Lorrimer and Steve Cuthbert defeated Bewdley Rowing Club. Nigel Hollingworth, Derek Crowley, Mo Rossell and Dave Wregg also beat Bewdley to win the F fours (for 60 year olds) and the two crews combined to win the E eights by a quarter of a length. All three boats were coxed by Carole Dickinson and coached by Heidi Dobbs.

Several other Masters from Nottingham spent the weekend in Poland at the World Rowing Masters Championships where over 2,500 boats from 37 nations, with competitors aged 27 to 92 raced. Results are keenly awaited.
